Posted - 05/05/2012 : 00:58:51 It depends on the quality of the cases, I advertised my 7 piece DW kit to include all Pro Racket cases as an extra incentive which included an almost brand new 24x14 BD case, the bloke that bought it for his ten year old kid said the cases would have to go in the garage or attic, (sob) I would advertise with or without prices, it is an extra incentive but don't give 'owt away,, |

If you've got a 22x18 or 12" tom case, then sell them separately! I could do with some. Oh and a 14x7 snare |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 20:41:03 I've always found that cases sem to make almost no difference to the price people will pay for a kit but this is in store not selling privately so might make a difference. |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 19:03:28 If they were really good quality cases then that would swing my decision much more favourably in that kit's favour. If they were so-so then its a bonus but wouldn't make me necessarily choose that kit over another one that didn't have cases. Certainly the lack of cases would never draw my attention away from a kit that I liked, they're easy enough to pick up second hand and I have good cases for my gigging kit already so if I needed to I would use those whilst my other kit was safely stacked at home and not in need of cases. |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 18:57:29 ^ agreed, I would expect someone to knock money off if I didn't want the cases anyway, as said you could use it to close a deal as long as you have a price in your head |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 18:55:58 Depends if the buyer wants the cases or not. I'd put them as an extra option. |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 18:49:32 You'd probably make more money selling them separately. But the other side of the coin is that if the kit is complete with cases, it makes it a much more attractive proposition to a gigging drummer. Without cases, you've got to bugger about finding the right ones, and buying them. I've even looked at kits on eBay and the fact it didn't include cases has put me off bidding. |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 18:49:24 use them as a closer. e.g "and you can also have a full set of cases for £x". That would entice me. They could also be used as a bargaining/negotiating tool by the buyer if they know the cases are available. |
