Ok so I have been thinking about taking the mid Tom off but I have a session studio and the Tom mounts i into the bass drum, when I take the Tom off i will end up with a port hole where I don't want one

What do I do ?

Cheers

I think Sean's suggestion is good and I would listen to him! It's a good idea to place a boom arm in mine and mount a cymbal!
but you can also ignore it of course. Do what you feel like! You can also check if you would get an order from http://www.serenataflowers.com , because it's really practical!

btw. MORE COWBELL!

In my opinion, use it - mount something!

I did exactly this today,

Been to newcastle drum centre and noticed they had a pearl boom arm and being that my kit is also pearl it uses the same bass drum mounts, £35 later the ride is now on the bass drum boom arm, perfect fit

still loving the one up one down config too, its making me think alot more about how i play and it soooooo much more comfortable

Swing your tom out to the left a bit more, so it pretty much lines up with your snare, then you can move your ride in closer, it just looks a little too central,,

Just done this, thanks lee

All joking aside, 13/16/22 is a great, big sounding combo.

It's my set-up of choice for one-up / one down.

Remember that the 13" tom is also the one to use - lucky for some..

So should i use the 13 instead if the 12 ?

^. Where's the like button ......

Also can you attach a tool to move the singer out of the way??

The correct and proper use for the spare hole is obviously to put in a mono-pod and a pair of zoom binoculars (from a camera shop) so that you can get a closer look at any attractive people in the audience.

I don't think I could get a cowbell in that tiny hole.

I feel so cheated but its so much easier to play down on the ride

Put the drum back, swap the ride and crash around and put your ride low over the floor tom jmho.

Perfect set up IMO.
Pegdrummer Posted - 02/05/2012 : 11:00:28
I really don't see the problem. It's quite normal to play one up - one down...?

Ignore it

or perhaps a flower?
dibs Posted - 02/05/2012 : 00:33:58
I would put a soft toy in it. Perhaps Donkey off Shrek. Or similar.
