Am I mad or simply a trailblazer in the world of electronic percussion?

Thanks, Chris. I'll give you a shout once you're up and running with your Jobeky :)

Christopher! If you've ever a free weekend over the summer, I'd love to come and have a play (if you'd have me, that is). They are 'on my radar' so to speak...

Just tried out the Gen16s with my DTXplorer, pending the arrival of the Jobeky.

I'm quite impressed on the whole, especially with the new 'Fat' presets that were added to the module when I upgraded the firmware earlier on. They really help to beef up the relatively thin sound that the cymbals produce.

If more presets like that are added then I can see this becoming a great bit of kit.

I was very impressed with them but though that the module needed to do more, all the sounds were fairly middle f the road, I was hoping fore some more extreme eq options in there.

There are no samples involved. They have mics and the module shapes the sound from these.

good luck with that!!

Nah seriously I think they'll be fine with a bit of tinkering, I just have not liked anything I've seen on the net regarding these, I will be interested to know how loud they are acoustically ie:the clunk that comes off them when you hit them.
Will also be interested to know how they compare to yer normal leccy cymbal pads and wether the samples are credible representations of the Zildjian cymbals they are claiming to be.

Och just review them Chris!!!
