You have to agree Kev, we've had quite a bit of luck, all 3 games could have gone either way. Roll on Sunday though
Agreed, but we are playing to win and not look good (we couldn't do that anyway )
On Sunday I land at Palma airport Majorca 12.20, settle in my Hotel in Sa Coma, check out the beach, have few bevvies (all inclusive ) then get ready to watch the match v italy. Seems like a great day could be had, hope England don't spoil it. Pleased we didn't get Spain on Sunday as that would of been unbearable being surrounded by 1000's of gloating Spaniards, plus the barman would probably wee in my drink if they lost.

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 13:59:27 We can't pick anyone else, they are the best we have which shows what a bad job the FA have done in nurturing proper talent. I actually thought after the 1990 World Cup and Euro 96 we'd have a glut of great young players to choose from who would try and emulate what Gazza was doing (on the pitch ) but it never happened, someone needs to be brought to task for that. Spain play mini 5 a side games all over the pitch, I'll wager that their young pre-teen kids never even see an 11 a side pitch until they're much older. You need to look around for the Waddle stuff mate, it's stuff he says during interviews and commentary, he also did something for Radio 5 a few months ago which still may be available for download as a podcast. Ukraine will be another nerve jangling game, I thought Poland reminded me of England last night, good in patches but then short of ideas and quality. |

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 13:49:48 So who do you pick if not them 3
The next game we play i think will be a hard game and we could go out so who do you have. If we do get out of the group it could be Spain so i think we will have to play the same way as we did against France. Which will be completely different setup |

First thing my mate said to me yesterday regarding the England v Sweden game "kinell, we were $hite weren't we". A well taken couple of goals does not paper over the cracks for me unfortunately, still the same old England but with added fight.
I've mentioned Chris Waddle before but listen to his comments on the FA and England team, he has it nailed bang on the head I'm sad to say.
Post the link mate about Waddle i seen him talking about we should for get the next world cup and build a team for France. I cannot find a link |

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 13:38:41 I ain't read that post but I still don't like Milner, Walcott or Parker, so I don't see the issue? Ok Parker has played well but he's a very limited player, Walcott has the odd flash of brilliance but he's not good enough to do it every game, Milner is just a headless chicken who will run all day long for you with no qualities I can think of apart from the odd decent cross. Saying we have too many foreign players is only a fraction of the problem, it's grass roots. If we had good enough young players they WOULD get chances with good teams but there just isn't any quality coming through. Blame the FA for having dinosaurs like Brooking at the helm who are stuck in their ways and don't want to nurture proper, pure talent. |

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 13:29:41 You said you did not like Paker Walcot and Milner who else would you pick
Plus after posting this on another post it made the post come to a end after 2 page's
The president of Spain’s La Liga says England suffered at the World Cup because there are too many young foreigners in the Premiership. José Luis Astiazarán has questioned the number of young foreign players at Premier League clubs and said the principal reason Spain have reached Sunday’s final against Holland is that “77.1%” of footballers in their domestic league are Spanish-qualified, a direct result of home-grown players being given the opportunity in their clubs’ first teams. In the Premier League fewer than 40% of players are English. “In La Liga there are 77.1% Spanish players, 16.7% European and 6.7% non-European,” Astiazarán said. “Our strategy is to work very hard with young home-grown players and to try to have a mix between them and experienced players. Why is it not a high number of foreign players in La Liga? Because we invest more and more in young Spanish players than in young foreign players. England has many times taken young players from outside who are 14, 16 years old. These kind of players are not English. This is one of the most important differences between Spain and England. We invest in young Spanish players. In Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United there are a lot of young Spanish, French and Italian players – maybe this is why at the moment you are not creating young English players. These [young foreign] players cannot play for the English national team. It’s good to have goalkeepers from outside. But how many English goalkeepers are in the Premier League?”

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 09:54:34 You still dreaming Kev? Wake up and smell the coffee
Milner as with Young has been very poor so far and offered nothing, if you can't see our woeful lack of quality in attacking midfield then I'm afraid I don't know what else to say Kev. Obviously you'll take this as another one of those "England are $hit etc etc" type negative comments but there you go and I'm not going to try and explain myself yet again, besides it would be awful if we all agreed wouldn't it |

Posted - 17/06/2012 : 07:22:25 Nice one thomas never say die. Wished someone told that to the so called England fans when we went 2.1 down the same old. Where sh-t they all could pick a better team. They all have a way to get them playing better and so on then we score 2 and they turn in to our biggists fans again. I FECKING LET THEM HAVE IT.
Now its about Rooney and his fittness as he as not played the first 2 games ??????????????
Ive not heard a comment about Milner not getting to play football as he could not get in Man City team but what are they saying he is poor LOL There is no one better Milner will be back to the way he plays fully fit and giving what ever he as.
