Pete Burkes was kind enough to deliver this lovely by hand t'other day, it's a bit of an oddment, but Lovely, nonetheless. Premier Resonator kit, 24" Bass drum (black wrap) 10" Tom 12" tom and 14" floor tom (the toms are lacquered)

Now then. The toms do not have any mounts on them, and are fitted with Rims. They are painted black on the inside, the bass drum is natural grain.

Piccies-

My bass reso linings are finished in the same black laquer as my toms. Look inside the bass liner for a date stamp, a lot of the 85-87 natural bass drums I've seen were marked.

I have a 20 inch Resonator bass drum in Black wrap and it has a 1983 date stamp. I only noticed it as i had to take the liner out to tighten up a spur mount. It was a bit fiddly but i got it back in no problem.

Nice haul yet again Dug, must search better for those elusive black drums of mine.....is that two 14" floor toms you've got now then Dug?

The resonator could be ordered without mounting boxes by adding a code to the end of the specific tom tom order number, R i think. Then the mounts were supplied loose for attaching to RIMS etc.

The bass is definitely older than the toms (and I am very interested in the toms - give me 1st dibs)!

I've never seen reso toms minus mounts, was this an option by Prem, or a special order??

Nice - toms with no mounts!

Not on Ebay this, Cobber. The Dark Lord has many sinister sleeper agents combing the fields of this sceptred Isle, listening devices planted in every music shop/drum shack, the merest whisper of a sniffable, and I dispatch envoys to retrieve my quarry. Yes he knows we all love him, I told him, I made him a cup of tea and we had a lovely chat about drums. Now then. Did you get that mahog duro kit from NZ?? pICTURES, YOUNG MAN!! I may have a nice 14 x 14 mahog duro floor up for grabs if you are interested??
