If you like power in your snare:

How do you know it's a brass shell ? It doesn't say so, but it is very shiny !

I think it's number of indented stripes around the shell. Steel shells have two, brass shells have three.

The crimps around the drums equator. Two for steel, three for brass plated with chrome.

Congrats, Keirf. Hope you enjoy it. I have the 5" with original diecast hoops - it is by far my loudest snare. Nice if you need that extra volume.

Bargain for a COB snare, I was going to bid but forgot. My 14x6.5 COB Jupiter is a noisy swine and also very sensitive, just like me;-)

Congrats. I, too, think it's a bit of a bargain.
