I'd had a bit of bad luck with an Evans EMAD coated bass drum head. It had a manufacturing defect where the plastic housing for the foam dampening ring had sheared and wouldn't hold the foam ring correctly. With that in mind I contact Ben Alldred at D'Addario to see if anything could be done and he very helpfully and graciously sent me a brand new replacement, free of charge.
Bearing in mind I first made contact with him on Friday, the brand new head arrived first thing this morning and along with it was a complimentary Evans t-shirt. I have to say this is customer service at it's best and I would like to say a public thank you to highlight exactly how well they treat their customers and to of course recommend them to everyone else.
Ben at D'Addario and Evans; fantastic work and a thoroughly nice chap as well. |

| Wish I'd done something about the Reverse Power Centre Dot that imploded halfway through its second gig instead of just writing it off as bad luck now :-( |
Once I've hit it, it stays hit.

| When Robert from D'Addario posted on here a few weeks ago I gave feedback on Promark. He responded immediately, and sent me some sticks to show how good their quality is now. Result? I'm a customer again. Good customer service wins every time. |

Excellent, is it the same Ben that works at Newcastle drum centre? Nice guy if so. |

| I had an evans head that pitted like crazy after a 30 min gig. I don't hit hard at all and was surprised. it was my first evans head and I was put off so emailed the company after advice on here. same experience here, nice fresh head free of charge, and an email telling me it must have been a one off and they hoped it wouldn't put me off their products, great service. |

Fantastic!
It really warms my heart to hear of instances like this!
I was quite disappointed to hear how far the mighty Zildjian have fallen in terms of customer service... |
