Drumming gloves! Just what I always never wanted!

Rest looks interesting...but I'll never understand people's willingness to incur ridicule for wearing drumming gloves.

Yes indeed. The ridicule Carter Beauford and Stewart Copeland have incurred over the years for their glove-wearing shenanigans is quite frankly shocking.

More than shocking. Some social commentators have described it as ridiculous.

Yeah, I've never understood about drumming gloves...

How much do they sweat if they're worried about dropping their sticks...? :-P

Because there's a clear parallel between the drummers you name and Joe Bloggs down the Hare and Hounds sporting gloves in his less than death metal performance of Brown Eyed Girl

AND WHAT, PRAY, IS WRONG WITH A DEATH METAL PERFORMANCE OF BROWN EYED GIRL??

Actually, our version is more black metal than death metal. Goes down great at weddings.

In Copeland's case I think he uses the gloves because of his well documented tendency toward blisters - remember all those early photos of his hands encased in elaborate taping?
