Am I the only one whose snare drum batter looks like it needs a shave whenever I take it out of its Protection Racket case?

Are you sure you're not using one of the new Remo Velcrolite heads?

Happened to me with another brand with black fleece - snare head looked really manky. Worrisit, then, static or summat? Never noticed heads being particularly sticky prior to the incident. I use round pads of dense foam top and bottom of my soft cases, and they tend to stick to coated heads as well.

Not just me then. I think I might give it a comb. |

I've got a coated Evans G1 on a Genista BD as a reso head and that attracts fluff from my PR case too.

Funnily enough this happened to me too the other day - got my toms out (with Evans G2 coated's on) and thought it looked like my parents' cat had been lying down on top of them. Very odd

Methinks its the material reacting/melting with the heads coating - unless you are using clears... I found the same thing with a cotton T-shirt left on an evans head.

Just FYI - you're supposed to put "Oooo-errrr missus" in brackets after saying that.

Aha! An old head upside down on the batter head will prevent it.
