Hi,
I'm looking for a nice , dry 20" ride cymbal.
I know I am going second hand because I don't have much money to play with.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hmm , not much more than £130 really...
There's one one for £159 which is too much.
Thanks anyway Ian.
Any more ideas?

I've seen 'em go for less than a ton - IIRC it was the 'groove ride' that particuarly impressed me.

I've never played an Alpha that could be called anything like dry! Good cymbals, but they're bright and have plenty of sustain.

Should be plenty around for the £100 mark. Zildjian Ping rides are quite bright in isolation, but sound dry behind a band. Also see if you can find an earth ride if you want really dry. For that money you should also be able to find a new Stagg VB ride. I've got a 20", it's very versatile and has pretty much taken over from my Ping ride.

Yeah - if you check out Turning Points on the link below and go half way through that's a Breakbeat ride. It's also on Dark Matters.
