I wasn't spurred by any drummer in particular. I took up drums simply to meet girls... When a fellow I went to school with said I was **** (guitar player!), I got serious and turned onto Neil Peart. NP was subsequently replaced by Stewart Copeland, Clem Burke, Manu Katche, Will Kennedy etc, etc, etc...

Never did meet any girls while in a band... between bands was another story though...
